Patricia Ann Robinson

Patricia Ann Robinson, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 26th at eighty years of age. Patricia was born on Tuesday, October 24th to Edward and Helen Rogers in Waxahachie, TX, being the third of four siblings. Patricia met the love of her life in home room class at South Oak Cliff High, and she had her first date with her husband at her Senior Luncheon. Afterwards, they had a vanilla malt at Polar Bear. Her tough and hard-nosed fireman father accepted Fred when he was able to down 11 of his hamburgers at her house on Ledbetter. Patricia was valedictorian at South Oak Cliff High School, and she attended Arlington State College, now UTA, finishing in three years. Patricia dated through college with Fred coming home many weekends to see her at the behest of his grades at Texas A&M University, and they married on August 7th, 1965 sharing wedded bliss for 59 and a half years. In her free time, Patricia loved mowing the yard to stay in touch with God. She enjoyed bowling at Zang’s Bowling Alley and took her children to the Bronco Bowl. She loved traveling and walking at night and asked her boys if they wanted to walk with her, and depending on their mood, they would go. She loved music, especially Emmylou Harris. She had all her records and would see her in concert many times. She was an avid reader reading multiple books a month. She read many VC Andrews novels along with being an English teacher at Red Oak High School…known as “The Church Lady,” for you SNL fans. Patricia was faithful in her relationship with her Lord Jesus reading her Bible daily and telling her sons to pray nightly and to read their Bibles. She was active in her church at First Baptist Red Oak and was part of the “Over-The-Wheels” Senior class that her husband taught along with being a cherished member since 1968. Patricia was the mother of three sons. Patricia loved her family and the times when all three of her boys were together. She loved all her many grand and great-grandchildren, and she enjoyed seeing them whenever they would come to see their “Granny.” Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Helen Rogers in addition to her brother, Ronald Rogers. She is survived by her husband of 59 and a half years, Fred Lewis Robinson, Jr. of Red Oak, TX; her sister, Cynthia Floyd and brother-in-law, Dick Floyd of Geneva, Illinois; her brother, Donald Rogers and sister-in-law, Tina Rogers of Dallas, TX; her brother-in-law, Donald "Bubba" Robinson of Rockwall, TX; her son, Fred Lewis Robinson, III of Midlothian, TX; her son, Jason Edward Robinson and daughter-in-law, Melinda Robinson of Leander, TX; her son, Jeffrey Daniel Robinson and daughter-in-law, Kristin Robinson of Keller, TX; her granddaughters, Brittney Dorough and husband Wes, Kylie and Kinsley Robinson, and Emmery McCoy; her grandson, Ethan Robinson; and her great-grandchildren, Sophia, Madison, and Savannah Dorough. A celebration of Patricia’s life will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, at Byrum Funeral Home, 425 N. Dallas Avenue in Lancaster, Texas with visitation preceding at 10AM. Interment will immediately follow at Red Oak Cemetery. Family will receive friends and loved ones at a reception at First Baptist Red Oak, 320 E. Ovilla Road, Red Oak, TX, immediately following the interment. Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
