    Dixie Juan Wilson

    March 14, 1937 - February 8, 2022

Dixie Juan Wilson passed from this life, into eternity on February 8, 2022 in Red Oak Texas. She was born March 14th 1937. She was the daughter of Homer and Aida May Biggs. She grew up in the Lancaster, and Seagoville area and graduated from Seagoville high school in 1955. She met her beloved husband of nearly 65 years, Kenneth Wilson and they lived in Lancaster for over 60 years. They had 3 boys, Jeff, Steve, and Terry, and she was very involved with their activities. She was a Cub Scout Den Leader, a teacher in some of their Sunday school classes and always volunteered for vacation Bible school. Dixie loved the Lord and for most of her life she would have her Bible and study notes in different locations around the house as she listened to J Vernon McGee on a daily basis. Dixie loved vacationing with the family, and their favorite places were Silverton and Ouray Colorado. They loved the mountains, and throughout their 65 years together they probably spent 30 + vacations in Colorado with friends and family, and a few in Wyoming, Montana and California. Not to mention about 15 trips to Big Bend National Park. If you knew my mom at all you knew that she had a love of going through some of her favorite family photos, and retelling the stories in the pictures. She also wanted us to know who all of our great-great relatives were. She could cook a pot roast with all the fixings like nobody's business. And her sweet tea had a great reputation among some of my friends in school. Dixie was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Homer and Ida May Biggs Her brothers JT Biggs, Homer Biggs jr. Jack Biggs, Harley Biggs, and one sister, Jodi Biggs Chambers. Dixie leaves behind Her husband of 65 years Kenneth Wilson 3 Sons Jeff, Steve, and Terry Wilson, Daughter in law Celi Wilson Grandkids Todd, Tiffany Wilson, Josef Vicente and Jellielle Vicente Pyper and Stockard Wilson, and Miranda Wilson Great grandkids Cameron and Victoria Wilson. Her brother and sisters in laws, Bob and Dorothy Wilson, and Jeanette Wilson, as well as too many to mention nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Visitation is this Sunday, at Byrum Funeral Home located at 425 N Dallas Ave. Lancaster TX. February 13th from 3:00 to 5:00. The funeral service will be at the same location on Monday the 14th. at 2:00.
