James Ronald "Ron" Ragland

On Monday, July 9, 2018, James Ronald Ragland, best known to all as "Ron", passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, TX, at the age of 69. A Dallas native, Ron was born to Alfred James Ragland and Ruby Mae McGowan on March 3, 1949 in Dallas, Texas. He married Wendy Miller on June 18, 1977 and will be greatly missed by their two sons Zachary James and Jeremy David. He was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by two sons Zachary and Jeremy Ragland, twin sisters Kathy Quinn and husband Dan Quinn of Red Oak Texas, Karen Jennings and husband Kent Jennings of Austin, Texas, younger brother Barry Ragland, Tennessee Colony, Tx, nieces and nephews and many cousins. He received his degree from NTSU, Denton, TX and spent over 25 years in dedicated service to multiple communities as City Manager. He will be greatly missed by all.
