Paul W. Conner died May 3, 2020 in Waxahachie, Texas. He was born January 21, 1927 in West, Texas, the son of Jesse Conner and Pearl (Patterson) Conner. Paul graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School, Class of 1944. Following graduation, he married his high school sweetheart, Virginia (Beaver) Conner and then headed to Japan to serve his country in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class, 1127th Military Police Company. Following his Honorable Discharge in November of 1946, he and Virginia settled in Hutchins. Paul began working for Red Ball Motor Freight as an accountant which lasted his entire career. They would have celebrated 75 years of marriage this coming September. Paul was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hutchins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two sisters, Anita Conner and Oleta Conner and by his three brothers, Oren Conner, Fowler Conner and Kenneth Conner. Surviving in addition to his wife Virginia Conner: son Michael Conner and his wife Gloria of Grand Prairie, and daughter Marsha Conner Vanatta of Waxahachie; two grandchildren, Adrienne Franklin and husband Robert Franklin of Waxahachie and Christi Maier and husband Andy Maier of Mansfield; four precious great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Those who wish to remember Paul may make gifts to First Baptist Church of Hutchins library.
