Sharon Ann Davis

September 10, 1943 - September 8, 2020

Sharon Ann Davis was born September 10, 1943 in Dallas, TX to Alvie Bruce and Barbara Ellen McCommon Strickland and passed from this life on September 8, 2020. Sharon was a member of the Lancaster High School graduating class of 1962 where she was a cheerleader who fell in love with her football player. She and Freddie were married later that year. She retired as a secretary and dispatcher from the FBI with 18 years of service. When she wasn’t working, Sharon loved Colorado. She had unconditional love for everyone she knew and never complained about anyone or anything. Sharon loved all of these, but her family, children and grandchildren were the loves of her life second only to her faith and her Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Barbara Strickland; her father who raised her, Thomas McCeig; her step-mother, Marion McCeig; her brother, Alvie Paul Strickland; and her sister, Vickey Davis. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 58 years, Freddie Davis; her daughter, Carrie Davis; her son, Clint Davis; her son, Kyle Davis and wife Nikki; her grandchildren, Heather Davis and Shane, Dillon Davis and wife Jean, Karlee Sweetin and husband Cody, Charles Davis, Madelynn Davis, and Kendal Davis; her great-grandchildren, Noah Sweetin and Elijah Davis; her sister, Tommye McCeig; and numerous nieces and nephews who were like her own children. Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be at 10:00am, Friday, September 11, 2020 also at Byrum Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 12:00pm, Friday, September 11, 2020 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Combine, TX.
