Ahime Reyes-Saavedra was born July 9, 1975 in Mesquite, TX to Jorge Reyes and Alicia Shutt and passed from this life on December 13, 2021 in Richardson, TX.

She is survived by her daughter, Aletha Saavedra; her father, Jorge Reyes and wife Elsa; her mother, Alicia Shutt and husband Brad; her brother, Aaron Reyes and wife Shelley; her sister, Kate Reyes; her nieces, Payton Reyes and Georgia Reyes; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ahime was an incredible mother, daughter, sister, and friend to so many people. She was always the life of the party and would always want everyone to have fun no matter what they were going through. Ahime was a social butterfly and could make friends with anyone. When Ahime would welcome you into her life, you were greeted with a contagious smile and a laugh you would never forget. She was passionate about caring for the people that she loved. Her love was selfless and empathetic towards everyone. We will forever cherish the memories made with her. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of Ahime's life will begin at 6:00pm on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster, TX.
