Albert Renta was born August 11, 1927 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He passed from this life on January 29, 2020. He came to Jacksonville, Texas to attend college at Lon Morris on a basketball scholarship where he met Flo. They married in Houston, Texas on November 11, 1950 and raised their family in Lancaster, Texas. After retiring as a toy salesman he continued to work at Thorntree Country Club as a tennis coach until 2017. Albert and Flo moved to Rockwall in 2015 with his son Larry Renta and wife Vicki.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Flo; his daughter, Nancy; his brothers, Hector and Juan Jose; his sister, Milagros; and his parents.

Albert is survived by sons, Rick Renta & wife Diane, Larry Renta & wife Vicki, Kerry Renta & wife Esmeralda; grandchildren, Gary, Trent, Mandy, Cristin, Chelsea, Austin, Ashlea, Lacea, Lyndsey and Hannah; 12 great grandchildren.

Albert (Al, Granddaddy, Great-granddaddy, Poncho) was the sweetest man and will be missed by all his family and friends.

Celebration of Al's life will be at 1:00pm, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with visitation starting at 12:00pm.
