Alva Lee Whiteley, 84, of Waxahachie, TX passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Morada Senior Living in Waxahachie. She was born to the late Ruby and Raymond Brumfield on March 1, 1939 in Corsicana, Navarro County, TX.

Alva loved her family and the family and friends she made at Morada for the last 11 ½ years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Raymond; her husband, Ocie Whiteley; her sisters, Mary, Hazel, Jerry, and Wanda Joyce; and her brother, Danny Ray.

Alva is survived by her niece, Scarlet Stanford; her nephew, Nick Stanford and wife, Teressa; her niece, Sheila Burgess and husband, Lynn; her niece, Ruby Nell Gillilan and husband, Gary; her niece, Brenda Eastwood and husband, Billy; her nephew, Troy Groce and wife, Robin; several great- nieces and nephews; and several great-great-nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Byrum Funeral Home in Lancaster. Graveside services will be immediately following visitation at 3:00pm in Edgewood Cemetery, Lancaster.
