Benjamin R. Hill of Lancaster, Texas was born April 3, 1929 in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Humphrey and Frances (Rivera) Hill. He passed from this life on September 24, 2017.
Preceded in death by his wife Gisele Hill; parents, siblings Humphrey "Hito" Hill, Irene Hudzik, Elizabeth Montoya, Delia Cochran, Beatrice Hernandez.
He is survived by daughter Angelique Foshee & husband Robert; son Remy Hill; grandchildren Bradley Foshee & wife Bekah, Matthew Foshee, Brittany Foshee; great grandchildren Emma Foshee, Brynn Foshee; brother Oscar Hill; sisters Stella Thompson & husband David, Annie Avila, Cynthia Hosian; many nieces & nephews; and extended family.
Benjamin retired after more than 30 years from the US Army as a Command Sergeant Major.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lancaster where he served as deacon, worked in the church library, and sang in the senior choir. He loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, church family, and extended family. He faithfully supported the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
THERE WILL NOT BE A PROCESSION TO DALLAS FORT WORTH NATIONAL CEMETERY.
WE WILL REASSEMBLE THERE IN LANE 3 AT 12:15 PM FOR ENTRANCE AT 12:30 FOR MILITARY HONORS.
