Bertha Saldaña Espinoza (Burton), 91, went home to be with the Lord and reunited with her mother and father on October 29, 2023. Her family was blessed to have spent her final week by her side. She was a mom, grandma, tia, and friend. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and more than anything they loved her deeply. It was truly a blessing that she was able to see four beautiful generations.

Bertha was a dancer - she always danced to the beat of any and every song. She could dance for hours. Music was what lifted her spirit and always put a smile on her face. She was also a fashion icon. She never walked out of the house without looking her greatest. She always wore the best outfits and had the best accessories to match them. To this very day, she is and will always be an inspiration to many family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Jaime de la Torre, and his three daughters (Lisana, Michaelle, and Daniela); her daughter, Gladys de la Torre with her two sons (Daniel and Adrian); and her eldest daughter, and her four children (Janeth, Judith, Ivette, and Enrique). Bertha has nine grandchildren ranging in age from 19 to 48 years and 13 great-grandchildren ranging from 12 months to 29 years, as well as her five great-great-grandchildren ranging from one to eight years old.

Devoted Mama and Abuelita, she will be dearly missed but her legacy will live on for generations to come.

Visitation and rosary will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Bertha's life will be from 12:00pm to 4:00pm on Friday, November 3, 2023 also at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel.
