Betty June Ake was born February 10, 1941 in Roby, TX to Charlie and Florence (Baker) Taylor and passed from this life on August 7, 2020 in Waxahachie, TX surrounded by family.

Betty loved many things. She enjoyed traveling and shopping. Reading was a favorite past time of hers. One of her greatest blessings was teaching children bible stories, but above all, she loved and treasured her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bobby Taylor and an infant brother.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband, Delton, who would have been celebrating 62 years of marriage with her on August 22; her children, Darla Wende and husband Rick of Eastland, Ricky Ake and wife Jule of Sherman, Genie Daigrepont and husband Kevin of Waxahachie; her grandchildren, Todd Wende, Amanda Wende, Ryan Ake, Alysha Adams and husband Erich, Erika Butler and husband Tiger, Colby Ake, and Caleb Ake; her great-grandchildren, Kailey Wende, Allisyn Adams, Tiga Wende, Avery Adams, Paige Adams, and Collin Adams; her brother, Joe Don Taylor and wife Johnnye Lou of Odessa.

Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Brown Street Church of Christ in Waxahachie. A Celebration of Betty's life will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 also at Brown Street Church of Christ.

Interment immediately following at Red Oak Cemetery.
