Betty Jane (Smith) Rowe was born on July 27, 1922 in Calhoun, Tx to George B. Smith and Katie Looper Smith. She moved to the Dallas area in the early 1940's where she met and married David Leon Rowe on Dec 2, 1944. They settled in Lancaster, Tx in 1945 where they lived for the rest of their lives. Betty was preceded in death by her husband. She left behind four children, Kay Fields and husband Darwin, David Rowe and wife Lori, Mary Kinnard and husband Steve, and Bill Rowe. She had six grandchildren, Trisha Fields Moslin and husband Steve, Christa Fields Wheatley and husband Scott, David Rowe and wife Lauren, Brett Rowe and wife Victoria, Stacy Kinnard Galbraith and husband Jordan, Kevin Kinnard and fiancé Jauria Jones. There were also seven great grandchildren, Cole and Brie Moslin; Lane Galbraith; Wesley Rowe (David); Mason, Logan and Elaina Rowe (Brett), along with many loving nieces and nephews. Betty was the last surviving member of her generation from both her and her husband's families.
