Betty Mitchell Wilder died on March 30, 2023, at the age of 93. She was the youngest of 6 children born to Selma and Jim Mitchell on July 21, 1929 in Lancaster where she spent her whole life. After graduating from Lancaster High School, she attended SMU for two years. She began a career in 1962 as a bookkeeper for the Dallas lawfirm of Geary, Stahl, and Spencer. She retired in 1991 after 29 years of service. Betty was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Her passions included church, family, basketball, baseball, yardwork, her pets, and her home.

Mommie was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children… Mickie Debo and Hu, Mary Wilder, Kathy Lovins and Greg, Barbara Wilder, and Janet Nichols and Ricky; eight grandchildren who knew her as Granny… Lauren, Emily, Matt, Mitch, Meagan, Jamie, Katie, and Sarah; 10 great grandchildren; a sister and niece… Gloria and Nancy Moore. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings… Brother (Cecil), Sis (Hazel), Helen and Clyde.

A private family service will be held at graveside in Wilmer, TX.
