Candelaria Lopez Chavez of Wilmer, TX, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was born February 2, 1949, in El Potrero, Michoacan, Mexico to parents Trinidad Reyes Lopez and Elena Ramirez.
Candelaria loved the lord and her children. Candelaria enjoyed gardening, crocheting and listening to music. She loved making homemade food for everyone to enjoy and treasured family gatherings. Family to her meant always being together and seeing things through. Candelaria was an encouraging and inspirating woman upon her journey with her life events to give advice and willing to help anyone.
She will be greeted in heaven by her parents, Trinidad Reyes Lopez and Elena Ramirez, Candelaria is preceded in death by her son, Armando Chavez, and daughters Yolanda, Marina, and Maria Chavez, and brothers, Victor, Macario, and Lorenzo Lopez and sister, Concepcion Araiza.
She married Roman Chavez Padilla on February 6, 1965. They were blessed with 8 children.
Her smile and laughter will remain in the hearts of her daughters, Olga and Olivia Chavez, Candelaria Perez and son, Roman Chavez, Jr. Candelaria is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

The family acknowledges the constant prayers and thoughts of family and friends during this painful time. Visitation will take place on August 21st, from 6-9pm at Byrum Funeral Home at 425 N Dallas Ave, Lancaster TX 75146 and Rosary service starting at 7pm.
A funeral mass will be held on August 22nd at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 1537 Rogers Ave, Lancaster TX 75134. The graveside service will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery at 1500 S Westmoreland Rd, Desoto TX 75115. A luncheon will be held at St. Francis at Assisi Catholic Church after the burial to celebrate Candelaria's life.

Candelaria amaba al Señor y a sus hijos. Candelaria disfrutaba el jardin de su casa, tejer y escuchar música. Le encantaba hacer comida casera para que todos disfrutaban y preciaba las reuniones familiares. La familia para ella significaba estar siempre unidos y ver las cosas juntos. Candelaria fue una mujer alentadora e inspiradora en su viaje con los eventos de su vida para dar consejos y dispuesta ayudar a cualquiera.

Ella será recibida en el cielo por sus padres, Trinidad Reyes López y Elena Ramírez, Candelaria es precedida en la muerte por su hijo, Armando Chávez, y sus hijas Yolanda, Marina y Maria Chávez, y sus hermanos, Víctor, Macario y Lorenzo López y su hermana, Concepción Araiza.

Se casó con Román Chávez Padilla el 6 de Febrero de 1965. Fueron bendecidos con 8 hijos.

Su sonrisa y risa permanecerán en los corazones de sus hijas, Olga y Olivia Chávez, Candelaria Pérez y su hijo, Román Chávez, Jr. A Candelaria también le sobreviven 10 nietos y 2 bisnietas.

La familia reconoce las constantes oraciones y pensamientos de familiares y amigos durante este doloroso tiempo. El velorio se llevará a cabo el 21 de Agosto, de 6 a 9 p.m. en Byrum Funeral Home en 425 N Dallas Ave, Lancaster TX 75146 y el servicio del Rosario comenzará a las 7 p.m.

La misa se llevará a cabo el 22 de Agosto a las 10:00 am en la Iglesia Católica de San Francisco de Asís en 1537 Rogers Ave, Lancaster TX 75134. El servicio junto a la tumba seguirá en el cementerio Holy Redeemer en 1500 S Westmoreland Rd, Desoto TX 75115. Se llevará a cabo un almuerzo en la Iglesia Católica de San Francisco en Asís después del entierro para celebrar la vida de Candelaria.
