Catherine Winnona Butler was born July 21, 1932 in Bailey, TX to Hoyt and Lucille Brown and passed from this life on August 6, 2023 in Waxahachie, TX.

Catherine was a very creative and talented lady. She was an artist who could paint wonderfully. She was a seamstress who could sew anything and loved all kinds of arts and crafts. She was an incredible cook and loved being in her garden. Catherine's love of all of these was great but none greater than her love of family and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy; her son, David; her grandson, Casey Henson; her brother, Johnny; and her sisters, Bettye and Evelyn.

Catherine is survived by her children, Jerry Miller and husband Ed, Richard Butler, Phillip Butler and wife Sha; her grandchildren, Leslie Perkins, Cole Butler, Karlee Kennedy, and Richard G. Butler; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; her brothers, Forrest Brown and Tom Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster. A celebration of Catherine's life will be at 10:00am on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Northside Church of Christ in Waxahachie with graveside to follow in Gateway Memorial Park, Waxahachie.
