*UPDATE*. Visitation has been rescheduled for 2:00pm FRIDAY at First Baptist Church in Red Oak prior to the service beginning at 3:00pm.

Christopher Douglas Shook was born June 18, 1966 in Dallas, Texas and passed from this life on January 1st, 2025 in Dallas, Texas.

Chris was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his family dearly. He worked hard to care for his family and was always the goofball in the room to make everyone laugh and smile. He worked hard daily putting his community first as fire chief and full-time paramedic from 1984 to 2025. He made a huge impact in this world and was highly loved and respected. He will be missed more than words can ever express.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Sue Shook; his father, Alvin Douglas Shook (A.D); and his sister, Donna Wassmer.

Chris is survived by his wife, Priscilla Shook; his daughter, Courtney Dalton and husband Michael; his stepdaughter, Brittney Roberts; his son, Gavin Shook; his sister, Edith Hightower; his grandson, Britton Dalton; and his granddaughter, Olivia Dalton.

Family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday, January 10th, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Red Oak. A celebration of Chris's life will be at 3:00pm on Friday, January 10, 2025 also at First Baptist, Red Oak. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster.
