Obituary

Crystal Chavez- a soul so pure and beautiful. A soul so intelligent and wise. A soul so loving and caring. Crystal Chavez- a soul who left people with a feeling. A soul who taught every person who met her.

From the beginning of her journey on November 28, 1980, Crystal was the first born and pride and joy of Joe and Gayle Click. As a daughter, Crystal made her parents feel proud. Joe and Gayle cherished watching Crystal grow from a little girl to a grown woman who spent her life honoring her parents. On May 6, 2000, Crystal married her soul mate, Benito Chavez. As a wife, Crystal made her husband feel unconditional love. Benito and Crystal have spent 24 happily married years as best friends who treasured every adventure life had to offer them. As a mother, Crystal made her children feel safe. Junior, Noey, Chente, and Arianna had no doubt their mother would go to the end of the world to protect them and give them everything they needed.

On October 3, 2024, Crystal began her heavenly adventure. From Crystal's life, we have learned to live life to the fullest. Crystal taught us that when life is giving us challenges, take a step back and assess the situation- there is always a solution. When you are feeling lonely, you should spend as much time with family- even if that means getting on the ground and playing games with the kids. When you are not feeling confident, you should grab a microphone and sing your heart out and dance without a care in the world. Last, but not least, from Crystal, we have learned to work hard to reach for every star we want grab in life.

Crystal was welcomed into Heaven by her grandmother, Carolyn Cruz; her Pawpaw, Gene Tipton; and her nephew, Julian Chavez.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Benito; her beautiful children, Benito "Junior," Armando "Noey," Vicente "Chente," and Arianna "Nana"; her parents, Joe and Gayle Click; her sisters, Amber Huerta, Hannah Chavez, and Sarah Clayburn; her brothers, Brandon Click and Joey Click; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Isidoro and Lucia Chavez; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary beginning at 6:00pm. A celebration of Crystal's life will be at 10:00am on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lancaster.
