Curtis Edward Dickey, 61, of Royse City, Texas passed away on March 2, 2019 at Dallas Methodist Hospital. Curtis was born April 25, 1957 to Bill and Peggy Dickey of Ovilla, Texas.
Curtis grew up in Lancaster, Texas and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1975. Curtis attended Stephen F. Austin. He then attended a technical school and worked for IBM for a short time before beginning his career in the construction industry. He became a well-known and respected roofing contractor after opening Texxon Re-Roofing, Inc. in 1991. In 1992 he married his wife, Lois Rod and moved into their first family home in Ovilla, TX in 1993. In 2014 Curtis and his wife moved and opened a lawn and garden store in Royse City, TX called The Back Patio. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time with his family and grandchildren and was an avid hunter.
Following in his father's footsteps, he became a Mason and was a lifetime member of the Red Oak and Lancaster Masonic Lodges.
Curtis is survived by his wife Lois Dickey; his parents Bill and Peggy Dickey of Ovilla,TX; his sister Leigh Ann Dickey Fox of Midlothian, TX; brother Michael Rex Dickey; his daughters and their spouses Kristen and Heather Dickey in Norman, OK, Kody and John Burns in Tulsa, OK, Brooke and Ethan Cornett in Corpus Christi, TX, Courtney Dickey in Royse City,TX and son Trace Dickey in Royse City, TX.
Curtis is also survived by his grandchildren, Jude, Kieran and Emmaline Burns, Ruby Gene and Delilah Rose Cornett
Curtis was preceded in death by his older brother, Gary Wayne Dickey.
