Cynthia Kay Taylor was born February 14, 1953 in Waxahachie, TX to Rayford and Rachel (Chamberlain) Perry and passed from this life on October 17, 2019 in Dallas, TX.
Kay was the slot machine queen. She love playing them. She had another love, though. Kay was a volunteer at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. She loved helping veterans not only at the hospital but also at their special events, carnivals and the American Legion in Lancaster.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Don Taylor as well as her parents.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Carrie Michelle (Mikki) Moody; her brothers, Albert Perry and wife Cinda, Ray Perry and wife Liz, Bob Perry and wife Connie; her sister, Linda Robertson and husband Stan; her best friends, Mary and Bill Chenault; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday, October 21, 2019 at Byrum Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org
