Dana Virginia Underwood Worley was born on December 24, 1955 in Dallas, TX to James William and Deloris Nadine (Collins) Underwood. She stepped out of this life and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 23, 2025.

Dana had an outstanding record with Shadyside Nursing Home, which is now Larenwood Nursing and Rehab. She was employed there from 1973 to 1998. She started out as a nurse's aide, then she transferred to housekeeping. She was the Environmental Supervisor for over 12 years, in charge of the total upkeep and maintenance of the facilities, as well as all housekeeping responsibilities. Dana was also the chair of the safety committee and never had a deficiency cited in any of her departments. She was also responsible for inservicing over 40 people on safety and environmental topics on a regular basis. Dana was a leader and an excellent manager who was considered a pleasure to work with by all who crossed her path. To this day, people still ask about and speak very highly of her. Once her time at the nursing home came to a close, Dana retired from Red Oak ISD with 15 dedicated years of service.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 29 years, Jackie Worley; her grandson, Brandon Tidwell; her parents; her siblings, Nadine L Calder, James R. Underwood, Barna J. Davis, and Patsy J. Underwood; as well as her nephews, James G. Underwood and Robert E. Davis.

Dana is survived by her daughter, Barna M. Tidwell and husband, John; her daughter, Sherri R. Morgan and husband, Chance; her grandchildren, Bradley Calder, Savannah Signs, Josh Ryan, and Jonathan L. Tidwell and wife, Paige; her great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Marie Tidwell, Jaxtyn Tidwell, and Suede Tidwell; and numerous precious nieces, nephews, and loved ones she collected throughout the years.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Dana's life will be at 11:00am on Friday, October 31, 2025 also at Byrum's. A private interment at Laurel Land will take place later.
