Diane Yates, born June 26, 1948, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on May 9, 2026, in Ennis, Texas. Diane lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep love, and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Wayne Yates on Nov. 27, 2004; and her parents, Albert and Dorothy Watson.

She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Finney; brothers, Richard Watson and Doni Maxwell; daughter, Shelia Collinsworth; son, Bryan Collinsworth; daughter in law, Chrissy Collinsworth; grandchildren, Justin Collinsworth, Ryan Collinsworth (and his wife ShyAnne Collinsworth), and Cassie Collinsworth; great grandsons, Jackson and Jordan; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Her family was her greatest joy, and her love for them was unwavering.

Diane touched many lives with her kindness, her humor, and her ability to make people feel seen and cared for. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her impact will live on through the people she loved.

She will be laid to rest at DFW National Cemetery on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
