Dolores Maria Rivera was born February 20, 1933 in Mercedes, TX and passed from this life on March 14, 2024 in Gilmer, TX.

Dolores had many loves. She loved cooking, sewing, gardening, and puzzles. She also loved raising her chickens! She will be dearly missed by those who loved her!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo & Cruz Trevino; her husband, Marcelino G. Rivera; her son, Ricardo Rivera; her sister, Rita Fuentes; her brothers, Johnny, Antonio, Raul, Bernadino, Isabel, Julio, and Paul Jr. Trevino; and her grandson, Gabriel M. Lopez.

Dolores is survived by her son, Jesus M. Rivera and wife Diane; her daughters, Rosita Muniz, Adelita Rivera, Raquel Lopez, Anita Longoria, Yolanda Cano, and Erlinda Caballero; her 17 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary beginning at 6:00pm. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lancaster.
