Domingo Zapata, a devoted patriarch and proud Korean War veteran, was called to Heaven on June 12, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on October 23, 1932, in Danbury, Texas, Domingo lived a life defined by hard work and unwavering dedication to his family. He was a strong provider who ensured his loved ones were always cared for.
Domingo was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Olivia Garza Zapata, and his cherished daughter, Yolanda Garza.
He leaves behind a large and loving family who will miss him dearly and forever cherish his memory. Domingo is survived by his daughters Irma Garza, Sandra Garza, Elvia Garza, and Mary Zapata, and his seven sons, Emilio Garza, Manuel Garza, Alberto Garza, Gilbert Garza, Salvador Zapata, Eduardo Zapata, and Jorge Zapata. His legacy also lives on through his 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Domingo's strength, love, and tireless commitment to his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will be forever loved.
Family will gather at 11:00AM Friday, July 25, 2025 for a Celebration of Life Graveside at Edgewood Cemetery.
