Donald Ray Reeves of Red Oak, Texas was born May 23, 1942 in Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas to Albert and Myrtle (Brown) Reeves of DeSoto, Texas. He passed from this life on July 23, 2020.
He was the twelfth of thirteen children. Don was a member of Hampton Road Baptist Church in DeSoto. He was just a big kid at heart and was always ready to drop everything to help someone in need. He had the biggest smile and loved to tease and be teased. Don loved to race cars and boats back in the day. He enjoyed tinkering around the house. He spent 55 years laying carpets. Don was well known as the "DQ Kid" due to his love of DQ coffee drinks.
He is survived by his son John Reeves and daughters Laura Reeves, Krista Reeves, and Randi Holveck; brother Jerry Reeves and wife Frances; sisters Marjorie Goodnight, Geraldine Forner, and Juanita Starnes; 20 grandkids and great grandkids. He loved his family. They loved him and will miss him very much.
