On August 9, 2021 Donald Wayne Youngblood, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather unexpectedly passed away in Lancaster, Texas at the age of 83.
Don was born on July 10, 1938 in Dallas, Texas. He was a loving husband to Betty Youngblood for 59 years and a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked most of his life as a manager of Trinity Grain Elevator in Lancaster, Texas.
He loved his Chevy trucks, morning cups of coffee at the donut shop, playing golf, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Don, affectionately called Papa Duck, loved to spoil his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Papa Duck has made an everlasting impact on their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ethel Mae Youngblood; his siblings, Bob Youngblood, Norwood Youngblood, Billy Youngblood, Faye Smith, and Dorothy Box; and his great grandson, Kameron Lee Moore.
Don is survived by his wife, Betty Youngblood; his children, Leonard Youngblood and Kathy Strange; his grandsons, Bradley Smith, Justin Smith, and Brandon Youngblood; his granddaughters, Heather Brosette and Katelin Smith; and his great grandchildren, Carson Moore, Nicole Brosette, Blake Brosette, Brynlee Smith, Brooklyn Smith, Jocelyn Smith, Jolene Smith, and Addie Jo Maloy. He is also survived by nephew, Mike Blanton; niece, Brenda Hobbs; and many other nieces and nephews.
