Dwan L. Brooks was born January 28, 1934 in Paris, Texas and passed from this life on June 15, 2024 in Austin, Texas.

Dwan had many family members and friends that were important to her. She would want you all to know how special you are. Dwan was just as much loved by all that knew her. Her bright smile and generous heart touched many in the Austin, Dallas, and Minneapolis areas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eulan V. Brooks as well as her parents, Jack R. and Willie M. Lemmond; her mother and father-in-law, Eulan R. and Pauline S. Brooks; and her sister-in-law, Paula Arnold.

Dwan is survived by her son, John R. Brooks and wife, Jenell; her grandsons, Connor, Carter, and Riley Brooks; her granddaughter, Payton Brooks; her brother-in-law, Johnny Brooks and wife, Ursula; her brother-in-law, David Arnold; her cousins, Analyn Anderson Lee and husband Mark, and Joyce Wingard.

A private family graveside will be held later in the year.
