Babe Williams, of Brenham, TX peacefully passed away Friday evening in her sleep. She was 98.

Babe was a native Texan born in Hutchins to Lucy and Rene Sears. She was the middle child with an older sister, Faye and younger brother, Rene. Babe lived in Hutchins where she wed Doug Williams in 1942. They went on to live in Tyler, Beaumont, Richardson, Bullard and San Antonio where Doug passed away in 2000. She lived in Richardson and Brenham afterwards. Babe shared her time playing piano for church, nursing homes and family celebrations. Her hobbies included piano, painting, cooking, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rene Sears; mother, Lucy Sears; husband, James Douglas Williams; daughter, Mary Elaine Williams; and son, Bruce Warren Williams.

She is survived by her son, Mark Douglas Williams and wife Diana along with their children, Brian Estes, Bethany Steely, and Ben Williams; her son, James Craig Williams and wife Karen and their children, Doug Williams and Matt Williams; her daughter in law, Betty Williams and her children, Leslie Hall, Natalie Snell, and Amanda Williams; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00pm, Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel, Lancaster TX. Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 also in the chapel.
Interment following service at Laurel Land Cemetery, Dallas Tx.
