Florence Elizabeth Moore-Williams was born March 28, 1960 in Westpoint, New York to Vivian Moore. She lost her mom at the age of 15 and moved Dallas, TX to live with family.
Florence graduated from Skyline High School and attended Dallas Baptist University where she received a Bachelor's in Accounting and went on to get an MBA from Amber University. Flo began her career at Mobil Oil where she worked for 15 years; she left lasting impressions and made lifelong friends. Her next career move included joining Ernst and Young. At EY, she held a variety of positions, some that allowed her to travel all over the world including India, Germany, Malaysia, Australia, and Philippines. Most recently Flo led the Business Relationship Support and Risk Management Support Services. For the last 23 years she greatly enjoyed the many people she worked with and found so much fulfillment in her work.
Florence became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc while in college and was an active member of the Dallas Alumnae chapter for years. One of the highlights of her life was being able to watch her daughter, Rachael join the sisterhood. Florence was a member of Concord Church and served on the Sheila Bailey Ministries Board. She volunteered at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) non-profit and the United Way charities.
Florence expressed her loved through writing and sending cards. This was truly her ministry as she spoke life into her friends and family through her heartfelt words. You would rarely find Flo at home. She began her week serving and praising the Lord at Church followed by attending amazing restaurants with her friends, at the park with her grandbabies, doing fun events with her kids, and living life to the fullest. Flo was intentional about making sure to spend time with the people she loved. She had a beautiful soul that could be felt just by being in her presence.
Florence is survived by her two children, Rachael (Corey) and Philip, her two grandchildren, Riley and Carter, her brother Dwight Moore, along with a host of family and friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:00AM at Concord Church in Dallas.
