Gabriel Manuel Lopez, Jr. was born November 1, 1968 in Waxahachie, TX to Gabriel Salinas and Raquel (Rivera) Lopez. Gabriel passed from this life on December 15, 2019 in Harlingen, TX.

Gabriel was great man. He played football in high school and graduated from Lancaster with the Class of 1987. After high school, Gabriel joined the United States Marine Corp. He served during Operation Just Cause, Operation Desert Shield, and Operation Desert Storm. Once he was honorably discharged from the US Marine Corp, he joined the Army Reserves.

He enjoyed many things such as owning his own business and working out. Gabriel also loved vacationing, shooting guns, and playing video games. More than all of these, though, his greatest love was his children.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gabriel S. Lopez and his grandfather, Marcelino G. Rivera.

Gabriel is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Hendricks and husband Taylor; his son, Josh Lopez; his mother, Raquel Lopez; his grandmother, Dolores Rivera; his brothers, Richard Lopez and wife Nora, Joe Lopez and wife Ruby, and Nicholas Lopez; his nieces and nephews, Amelia Berry, Amiee Brewer, Megan Lopez, Elijah Lopez, Maya Lopez, Nicolai Lopez, Chris Jackson, Porsha Jackson, Carlos Rodriguez; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass at 8:00am, Friday, December 27, 2019 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lancaster. Marine Honors will be rendered immediately following the mass at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas.
