Gary "Shane" Smith was born November 26, 1971 and was surrounded by family when he passed from this life on December 26, 2024.
Shane had many things that he loved: golfing, fishing, and spending time with family, friends, and neighbors. More than any of these, Shane loved being with his grandbabies.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ard & Mildred Smith and RL & Mamie Holman.
Shane is survived by his beloved wife, Amie; his daughters, Allie Vanderwork and husband Luke, Savanna Flowers and husband Preston, and Mia Smith; his grandchildren, Kollins and Knox Vanderwork; his mother, Linda Holman; his father, Gary Smith; his sister, Amy Jeter and husband Derrick; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he greatly loved.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Friday, January 3, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Lancaster. A celebration of Shane's life will be begin immediately following at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster.
