Ginger Rogers Bruce Robnett was born to John and Dovie Bruce on March 13, 1936 in Paris,
Texas. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas in 1954. While in high school she was very proud to be a majorette.

She married Jim Robnett on December 3, 1954. The couple had two daughters, three grandsons, and one great-grandson.

The family moved to Red Oak, TX in 1973 where she lived the rest of her life. She was active in the community and was a supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

During her career, Ginger worked for various Dallas law firms as a receptionist.

In her younger days, she enjoyed dancing and singing, but her greatest joy in life was her family. She adored not only her immediate family but her six siblings along with all her nieces and nephews. She was active in her daughters' activities and went to all her grandson's sporting events.

Christmas was her favorite holiday; she would start planning months in advance. Some of the last conversations she had were reminiscing about past Christmases with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Elizabeth Medlock, John Bruce, Dorthy Bruce, Veta Bruce, Nancy Beck, and Bessie Dill.

Ginger is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughters, Melanie Petersen and Pete, Judy Reifel and Steve; her grandsons, Dustin Petersen and Audrey, Maverick Jones and Heather, and Brandon Petersen; her great-grandson, Jaxson Petersen; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
