Glenna Diane Reames was born January 14, 1950 in Commerce, TX to Billy Glenn and Wanda Joyce (Roark) Montgomery and passed from this life November 20, 2020.

Glenna loved life and loved people. She worked for 18 years at Cedar Valley College in Lancaster as an administrative assistant with many hats. Because of her love of arts and crafts, she was in charge of the Christmas Bizarre at CVC. She also worked with special needs students on so many levels. This love led to a scholarship in her name at Cedar Valley. When she wasn't loving on students, she was writing beautiful poetry or fishing. Glenna would sit for hours with a pole in her hand whether the fish were biting or not. Glenna also greatly enjoyed playing games with her family. Yahtzee was her absolute favorite and she won most of the time. She was truly special.

There were many health issues Glenna faced through the years. She never let that slow her down. Glenna found great joy in life's simple pleasures such as flowers, a child's laughter, and diet Sunkist. She loved greatly, especially her husband, her daughter, her son-in-law, and her grandson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy; her brothers, Terry and Danny; her father and mother-in-law, Carlton and Velma Reames; and her sister-in-law, Sharon Atwell Reames.

Glenna is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Ray; her daughter, Delena Reames Sample and husband Randy; her mother, Wanda Allen; her grandson, Lucas Sample; her nieces and nephews, Angie Derden, Andy Reames, and Elizabeth Robinson; her step-mother, Herma Jo Crews; her step-brother, Jo Crews; her aunts, Linda Jennings and Kaki Roark; her brother-in-law, Fay Reames; her sister friend, Linda Gibbons and her dedicated friend, Brenda Slagle; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Glenna's life will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 2:00pm prior to the service in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the DCCCD Foundation for the Glenna Montgomery Reames Scholarship for students with disabilities in memory of Glenna Reames.
