Gregorio "Grady" Rivera Chappa went to be with Jesus on the morning of July 23, 2023 in Bedford, Texas where he lived with his daughter, Linda Margarita Carbone Cherry and her husband, Doug. Grady was 91 years young and was born January 4, 1932 in Ennis, TX to Francisco and Margarita Rivera Chappa.

Grady was the oldest who was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria; his brother, Rosendo; his stepbrother, Sam; and his stepsister, Irene. He is survived by his sister Elida; his brother, Danny; his baby sister, Frances; and his stepsisters, Carol, Nancy and Judy.

He was also preceded in death by his wives, Aurelia Irene Gomez and Virginia Rodrigues; his sons, Jerry, Larry and Salvador; and his stepsons, Joe and Ralph. He is survived by his son, Gilbert; his daughters, Bertha and Linda; and his stepdaughters, Carmen, Patricia and Yolanda.

His grandchildren include Lucas, Auriel, Dominique and Evelina; Mariah and Isaiah; Angel, Cynthia and Sara; Craig, Diana, Marcos and Aurelio; Dustin, Nick and Jessica; Amy and Kimberly; Bernadette, Stephanie, Frankie, Joey, Austin, Elliott, Brittany, Marissa, Anthony and Ella; and many beautiful great grandchildren to love.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM – 7:00PM on Monday, August 7th, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass will be at 10:00AM on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lancaster with internment immediately following at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
