Gregory Joseph Fitzhugh was born December 13, 1953 in Dallas, TX to William Richard and Emilie Slampa Fitzhugh and passed from this life on January 6, 2022 in Dallas, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Steven John Fitzhugh.

Gregory is survived by his wife, Georgia; his daughter, Hila Marie Lewis and husband, Jason; his son, Joseph Fitzhugh and wife, Celina; his grandchildren, Tom Lewis, Emilie Lewis, and Mary Lewis; his brother, Rick Fitzhugh; his sister, Emilie Marie Parks; and his nephews, Michael Crabtree and Chris Crabtree.

Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with Rosary beginning at 6:00pm on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster. Funeral mass will be at 10:00am Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie with interment immediately following in Edgewood Cemetery, Lancaster.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Greg's name to St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie, the Catholic ProLife Community, or the Jan Pruitt Community Food Pantry in Lancaster.
