Guadalupe "Lupe" Martinez Gonzalez was born on May 10, 1945 in Rodriguez, Nuevo Leon Mexico to Pedro and Delfina Martinez and passed away to be with the Lord and Savior on August 19, 2021.

Lupe was a loving, supportive mother and extraordinary grandmother to her 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She never forgot a birthday, and everyone remembers the early morning calls of her wishing and singing you a happy birthday. Lupe is survived by her husband Rodolfo Flores Gonzalez, her children, Maria Cristina Gonzalez-Esparza, Rodolfo Gonzalez Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Gerardo "Jerry" Gonzalez and his wife Kelly, Elizabeth Gonzalez, Adriana Cazares and husband Rolando, Graciela "Gracie" Gonzalez and Mario Gonzalez Sr. and her son in law Frank Rodriguez.

Her brothers, Rodolfo Martinez, Juan Martinez, Eliseo Martinez, Leonardo Martinez and Pedro Martinez. Sisters, Lucila Luna, Maria de la Paz Perusquia, Delfina Abundis, Elisa Cantu and Esperanza Duenas. Numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Laura Guadalupe Gonzalez-Rodriguez, her great grand daughter Chloe Jade Rodriguez-Jones, her parents Pedro and Delfina Martinez and her sister Maria Luisa Mercado.

Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lancaster with graveside immediately following in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in DeSoto, TX.
