Harvey Lee Parker, Sr. was born September 27, 1935 in Arp, Texas to Andy Franklin and Alice Lee (Mason) Parker. He passed from this life on September 16, 2021 in Corsicana, Texas.
Harvey had an entrepreneurial spirit. He started a family business in the construction industry which he ran with his son. Any kind of work he could do with his hands brought him great joy. Not only did construction allow him to do this, but tinkering with small engine machinery like lawnmowers and 4 wheelers kept him busy. That was not his only love. Harvey was a 50+ year mason as well as a deacon at First Baptist Church, Wilmer. When he wasn't participating in these, he loved deer hunting and loved animals. He always had a dog companion.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life of 56 years, Dorothy Mae Parker.
Harvey is survived by his son, Harvey Lee Parker, Jr. and wife Amber; his grandson, Justin C. Parker and wife Karen; his granddaughters, Krystal R. Dutton and husband Jeremy, Naomie H. Parker-Wollard; and his great-grandchildren, Baylee G. Pritchett-Kirby, Klinton P. Kirby, Katelynn R. Parker, Davis L. Parker, and Krystin L. Kirby.
Family will receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 2:00pm on Saturday in Trinity Cemetery, Wilmer, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Harvey's name to the Trinity Cemetery Association.
