Hazel Hale Lambert of Waxahachie, Texas was born December 5, 1927 in Dawson, Texas to Henry David and Pokie Mae (Johnson) Hale. She passed from this life on February 12, 2018.
Hazel was preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Ellis Hale and David Hale; husband Wade Lambert; son William (Bill) L. Lambert.
She is survived by son Kenneth Lambert & wife Dawn; grandchildren Angela Green & husband Ray, Joey Ball & wife Leticia; great grandchildren Morgan Green, Maci Green, Addison Ball, Camden Ball, Anderson Ball; several nieces and nephews.
Hazel graduated from Dawson High School in 1944 at age 16. After a short time at North Texas University, her and her mother supported the war effort by working at the ordinance plant in Gatesville Texas until the end of the war. She then moved to Dallas where she began working at Sears, a company where she worked at until her retirement. She married Wade Lambert in 1949 and began her married life in the Dallas area. When Wade went to his heavenly home in 1959, Hazel took her two children and moved to Lancaster, where she lived for the next 50 years. During this time she was very active in, and served several terms as President of, Business & Professional Women, Sears Retirement Club, and Lancaster Residential Center's Parents Association. This devout Christian lady has been an active member of the First Baptist Church in Lancaster since 1959 and continually lived her life for God and family. She will always be remembered.
