Jack Grigsby, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather and great grandfather, born July 29, 1939, passed from this life on Monday, December 22, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Jack married the love of his life Helen, on December 21, 1962, and shortly after moved to Red Oak area where they raised four children. They were blessed to have shared 63 years of marriage together. Jack retired from Central Freight Lines after over 30 years as the trailer shop supervisor. He had a love for antique cars, traveling, camping, fishing, history, country music and anything that had to do with his family and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Grigsby; granddaughter, Shelby Winders; parents, Royce A. Grigsby and Clara Duke; brothers, Zackie, James, and Tony Grigsby; and sister, Mary Holmes.
Jack is survived by his wife, Helen Grigsby; his son, Royce W. Grigsby (Rhonda) of Palmer; his daughters, Tammy Smallwood (Larry) of Waxahachie, Kris Ellison (Eric) of Waxahachie; his grandchildren, Travis Ray (Misti), Krystal Winders (Ariel), Trent Ray (Brittan), Brandy Trevino (Marc), Tanner Winders (Jordynn), Jeffery Kuhn (Patty), Stephine Kuhn, Zack Kuhn, Melaine Ferguson (Chris), and Marcus Smallwood (Jenna); and his great-grandchildren, Skyler, Lucas, Kaylee, Kadence, Trenton, Amberly, Waylon, Karsynn, Keagan, Faith, Linden, Tynslee, Layton, Cheyenne, Blakey, and Tripp; and his nephews, nieces, and many extended family members.
Jacks' life was a testament of love, laughter, and devotion to family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Jack's life will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Byrum Funeral Home in Lancaster, TX.
