James Everett Davis was born September 10, 1930 in Lamasco, Texas to James Alexander and Annie V. (Gamble) Davis. He passed from this life on May 29, 2023 surrounded by family in Gun Barrell City, Texas.

James was a watch maker and retired from Sears after 35 years of service. He loved working in his yard and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lou Davis and his sons, Tony and Steve Davis.

James is survived by his son, Jeff Davis and wife, Nancy; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of James's life will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 also at Byrum Chapel with interment following at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas.
