SIKES CARTER, JANE R., Beloved wife and mother was born Christmas Day, December 25, 1933, in Brazos County, Texas to Burjis Ray and Ellie Mae (Cox) Frame and passed away to be with her Savior in Heaven December 4, 2020.

She married her husband of 49 years, Eugene Sikes, in 1955 and was happily married until his death in 2005. She found love again late in life. In 2010, at the age of 76, married Roscoe Carter and was happily married for 10 years until her death. She had various jobs starting with Woolworth 5 & 10 Cent in Bryan, TX, and Bolan's Hallmark in Duncanville, TX. Her last job before retirement was with the DeSoto ISD working the lunch line at DeSoto West Middle School. She was a faithful member of the Pleasant Run Church of Christ since the early 1970's.

Jane is survived by husband, Roscoe Carter; sons & daughters-in-law, Stephen & Debra Sikes, Mark & Darlette Sikes, Philip & Deborah Sikes; stepson, John Carter and stepdaughter, Orlenna Dobrynin; grandsons & granddaughters, Stephen, A. J., Christopher, David, Jacqueline, & Amanda Sikes; great granddaughters, Kailey, Shannon, Lydia Jane Sikes; great grandson, Kingston Lorenzo-Sikes; sister in law, Frances Janet Frame and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by husband, Eugene; her parents & brothers, Deward Glean Frame and William Frame; and her sisters and brother in law, Vera Mae and Dr. W.L. Beasley, Maria and J.O. Cheatham.

Services will be held at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020.
