Jeffrey Dean "J.D." Lewis was born September 23, 1956 in Pensacola, Florida to Thomas Marion Lewis and Grace Rose Lewis. He passed from this life on August 30, 2020 in Waxahachie, TX.

Jeff was a talented man with a lot of loves. He loved hunting, fishing, farming, and pretty much anything outdoors. He was always thinking and figuring things out. He was a master carpenter who owned his own construction company. Jeff loved life and was usually the life of the party. More than these, he loved his family and friends and would do anything for anybody.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Cyndi Lewis, in 2004.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Jessie Herrin and husband Clint; his daughter, Lauren Lewis; his son, Jeffrey Lewis; and his grandchildren, Cynthia Taylor, Kynlee Herrin, and Kylee Herrin.

Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be a 10:00am graveside, Friday, September 4, 2020 at Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster, TX.
