Jerry Martin Cross was born June 3, 1950 to father, Ezra Martin Cross & mother, Elzie Lee Cross in Hazel Dell, OK. He passed from this life on July 9, 2026 in Mansfield, TX. 

He was the father of two daughters, Deborah Kay Needham & Karen Lee Cross; the grandfather of Brittney Nicole Miller, Kaylee Michelle Miller, Ryan Michael Suter, Benjamin Lee Cross, Matthew Dylan Needham, Tyler Ethen Needham, and Trinity Lee Warren; and the great-grandfather of Caden Michael Miller, Lillian Fay Miller, Wrenley Rose Suter and Khloe Marie Owens. Jerry was the youngest of five boys. His brothers, Bill, Leo, Don, and Dan all called Jerry the spoiled baby of the family. He was preceded in death by daughter, Karen Lee Cross and granddaughter, Kaylee Michelle Miller.

At a grand stature of 6’2” tall and 270lbs Jerry was far from a baby. With an impressive work ethic Jerry was in DECA in high school, during which time he also worked for the Coffee Drug Store in Shawnee, OK. On a motorcycle, he delivered prescriptions all over Shawnee. After graduating high school, Jerry was hired by the Rock Island Railroad as a telegraph clerk where he then learned Morse Code to communicate with the main office in El Reno, OK. Jerry’s first job was stationed in Forrest City, AK. He then met and married Debbie and Karen’s mother, Terry Willhite Cross. Jerry lived a full life; he loved working on cars with his brother Don and sharing conversation and knowledge with everyone that he met. He will be missed dearly.
