Jimmy Earl "Jim" Cheshier, age 87, was called home to our Lord on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

Born August 22, 1936, in Lancaster, Texas, to Mary Smith and Joe Cheshier, Jim was a loving and caring father, grandfather (PaPa), and friend who will truly be missed by all who are left behind to cherish his memory.

Jim served in the United States Army for 6 years. He is a retired truck driver of over 30 years. He loved the sport of basketball, playing throughout his many years. He also had a passion for dancing, especially with his life-long dance partner and wife, Jean.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; his parents, Mary Smith and Joe Cheshier; and his sisters, Kay, Francis, Margie, Betty, and Donna.

Jim is survived by his youngest sister, Connie Jackson; his daughter, Deborah R. Cheshier; his grandsons, Michael Musick, Christopher Musick, Justin Musick, Brandon Green, and Nicholas Green; a crew of great grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews; and his little dog, Dottie.

The family will receive friends at Byrum Funeral Home at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. A celebration of Jim's life will immediately follow at 11:00 am in the Byrum Funeral Home Chapel.
