Jimmy (Jim) Ray Swanner was born September 13, 1942 in Littlefield, Texas and passed away June 4th, 2023 in Lancaster, Texas.

Jim was enlisted in the US Navy in the early 1960's and served as a radarman aboard the USS Duncan. He worked for Tyler Refrigeration (Waxahachie, TX) for many years until his retirement. Jim loved being outdoors and spent a lot of his time working in his yard and fishing. He also enjoyed taking deep sea fishing trips with his father.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Elmore Swanner, who passed in 1998, and his stepfather, O'Neil K Ryan, who passed in 2022.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sandra Lynn Swanner; his mother, Bettye Ryan of Midland, TX; his brother, Dan Swanner and wife, Tina of Midland, TX; his son, Kevin Ray Swanner and his wife, Paige of Ennis, TX; his step-son, David Kelsey and his wife, Sheila of Frisco, TX; 3 nephews; 1 niece; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren

Family will receive friends and family for a Celebration of Life from 10:00am to 11:00am on July 15, 2023 at Living Hope Church of the Nazarene, 2420 Brown Street, Waxahachie TX 75165.
