Jo Ann Harris-Cabe, age 90, was reunited with her Father in Heaven on January 23, 2025. She lived a life that focused on loving her family and friends. She taught her family how life's simplest things can bring you the greatest joys. For Jo Ann, it was being with her family, the color green, and yellow roses just to name a few.

Jo Ann was born on October 9, 1934 in Dallas, Texas. She worked at Millet the Printer until she retired. After retiring, she would help at her granddaughter's carnival by running kiddie rides. She was active in her community helping neighbors to run errands and get their prescriptions and groceries. She enjoyed visiting with her siblings, family, and friends every chance she could. She was always on the go, and she loved driving to visit everyone.

"Nanny," as she was called by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, will be remembered as a loving grandmother. She loved spending time with them and was at every birthday and holiday she could be.

She will be remembered by her family including her brother, Gary Fields of Midlothian; her sisters, Dinah Shelton and Kay Shelton of Mabank; her grandson, Randy Huffstutler of Maypearl and the mother of his children, Tawnya Stanley of Midlothian; her granddaughter, Prissy Talley and husband, Tony of Maypearl; her 5 great-grandchildren, Tyler Talley, Morgan Huffstutler, Taylor Huffstutler, Tucker Talley, and Tabi Talley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Jack Harris; her second husband, Henry Franklin Cabe; her daughter, Donna Gail Lanier; her parents, Ida Mae and Homer Fields; and her brother, Willis Fields, Sr.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of JoAnn's life will begin immediately following at 12:00pm.
