Juan Vicente Montalvo, lovingly known as Juany, was born on January 13, 1986, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on November 14, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Juan Roman Montalvo, Vicente Ancheta and his grandmother, Francisca Vela Ancheta
Juan is survived by his devoted parents, Jesse and Hilda Montalvo; his loving sister, Jessica (John); and his cherished nieces and nephew — Reagan, Addy, Harper, Zoey, and Evan Moore and grandmother Maria Dolores Montalvo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who were countless in number and deeply meaningful in his life. All who knew him will forever treasure the moments of love, laughter, and joy he shared. His presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Juan had a deep love for those around him. He cared immensely for his family and had a special bond with his nieces and nephew, always ready to be "funcle" playing, laughing, chasing and creating memories with them. With a generous heart and a gift for technology, he was always ready to help his tech-challenged family and friends. His passion for tech grew into a career that led him to support both domestic and international NFL events, something he took great pride in.
Juan loved music, his athletic caps and had an extensive sneaker collection, and was known for being a passionate foodie — whether trying dishes at home or exploring flavors around the world, inspiring others to be adventurous. He enjoyed traveling, taking road trips, being outdoors, and found joy and beauty in life's simple moments.
Juan will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
Juan had recently completed rehab for substance use and was continuing his recovery journey through outpatient care. Tragically, while under the influence, Juan took his life — a heartbreaking reminder of how addiction and mental health challenges can affect even the most loving, resilient, and vibrant souls. His family chooses to honor not the tragedy of his passing, but the love, joy, warmth, and immense strength he brought into the world
In honor of Juan, the family encourages anyone struggling with addiction and mental health to speak up and seek support. So many struggle with addiction in silence. No one should face their battles alone.
