Julie Ellen Swinford, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024. Born on March 12, 1958, to William Lovell Johnson and Mary Ellen Rowan, Julie was the cherished only daughter among three brothers.

Growing up on the family farm on Parkerville Road in Lancaster, Texas, Julie developed a love for horses and animals of all kinds, as well as plants and the outdoors. She possessed a remarkable eye for style and attention for detail, excelling in decor, interior decorating, and jewelry, always perfectly accessorizing every outfit.

Julie enjoyed playing Bunco with her fellow Bunco Babes, and she never turned down a trip to the beach. Julie had a fulfilling career in the insurance industry before dedicating 20 years to sales and management at Home Depot in Waxahachie, Texas before she retired in 2019. For the last 12 years, Julie played a vital role in taking care of her father and running the family business.

Julie is preceded in death by her parents, Lovell and Mary and her brothers, Mike and Craig Johnson. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bob Swinford; her loving children, Nicole Reeves, Justin Reeves, Justin Swinford, Jonathan Reeves, and Brandon Swinford; and her nine treasured grandchildren. Julie also leaves behind her brother, Tim Johnson.

Julie's vibrant spirit, sense of style, and dedication to her family, friends, and work will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Julie's life will be at 11:00am on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation beginning an hour before at 10:00am.
