Karen Rubye George was born August 30, 1940 in Hillsboro County, Florida to Robert Eugene and Rose Lavina (Carley) Moulton and passed from this life on September 7, 2026 in Plano, Texas.

She volunteered at nursing homes, gave the best hugs to anyone who would stand still long enough, and helped anyone and everyone in need in any way she could. When she wasn’t serving in these capacities, she loved to go on walks and was the most incredible cake decorator.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene George; her son, Bobby George; her siblings, Jimbo Moulton and Pat Moulton; and her parents.
Rubye is survived by her son, Frank George and wife, Deb; her daughter, Connie George; her son, Richard George and wife, Trish; her son, Donnie George; her daughter, Cindy Chambers; her brothers, Lawrence Moulton, Butch Moulton and wife Della, Michael Moulton and wife Margaret; her sister, Peggy Kleiner; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Rubye’s life will be at 11:00am on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel in Lancaster. A graveside service will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at DFW National Cemetery.
