Kenneth Wright Wilson was born March 1, 1933, the son of Robert and Drucilla Wilson. He grew up in Lamesa TX. Shortly after that the family moved to Dallas where he attended school.

He met his beloved wife of nearly 65 years, Dixie Biggs, and they lived in Lancaster for over 60 years.

They had three boys, Jeff, Steve, and Terry, and he was involved with a lot of their activities. They enjoyed camping, photography, riding motorcycles, and working on projects around the house. Kenneth, loved the Lord, and for most of his life, he was active in church. In his younger years, he was a Sunday school teacher.

Kenneth loved to vacation in Colorado with the family. Their favorite places were Ouray and Silverton.
They also traveled to Wyoming, Montana, California, New Mexico, and through Arizona to the Grand Canyon. One place that stood out most of all and held a deep place in Kenneth's heart was Big Bend National Park and the region. He has been there with family and friends about 15 times, and he loved the rugged and rustic nature of those mountains in the Rio Grande River Valley. Kenneth also was devoted to his country. He served in the US Army in Korea for 16 months at the end of the war.

If you knew my Kenneth at all, he was always working on something around the house. He spent many summer days in the front yard feeding the neighborhood squirrels, fixing bicycles and repairing flat tires for neighborhood kids in the area.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dixie; his mom and dad, Robert and Drucilla; and his brother, Billy.

He leaves behind his four children, Steve, Terry, Jeff, and Araceli Wilson; his grandkids, Todd and Kristine Wilson, Tiffany Wilson, Josef Vicente and Jellielle Vicente, Pyper Davis, Stockard Wilson, Spencer and Miranda Whitney; his great grandkids, Cameron and Victoria Wilson, and Raelyn Whitney; his brother, Bob and his sister-in-law Jeanette Wilson; as well as way too many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews to mention.

Family will receive friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with a celebration of Kenneth's life beginning at 12:00pm.
