Larry Wayne Flatt of Lancaster, Texas was born April 30, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to Johnny and Faye Flatt. He passed from this life on December 28, 2016.
Larry's law enforcement career included Lancaster Police Department from November 1, 1968 until March 1, 1978; Dallas Sheriff's Office from April 14, 1978 until January 31, 1980; Lancaster Police Department from January 28, 1980 until September 26, 2011; Chief of Police in Lancaster from September 26, 2011 until his retirement on October 31, 2013.
Larry was preceded in death by parents; son Larry Todd Flatt; brother Johnny Paul Flatt; and "Bucky" his canine companion.
He is survived by sisters Shirley Mitchell & husband David, Peggy Collins & husband Bill; best friend Ed Brady; stepdaughter Melissa Lestina & husband Rusty & their children Justin & Macee Lestina; nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
